Bourgeoisies in definition is basically the middle class. So in France there were three different social classes amoung France. The Estates for really rich people, nobilility for rich people, and the peasants which was the poor and "middle class" people. Knowing this, the Bourgeoisies falls under the peasant class which made up 95% of the population(25 million) of France during the 1700's.
France belonged to peasants. But all peasants, whether landowners, tenants or share-croppers, had to pay feudal dues in money, as well as money payable to the church. They were obliged to use the lord’s mill, bread oven and wine press rather than have their own and to allow him to hunt freely on their land. And they were tried and judged in a court ruled over by the king.
